Kathie works tirelessly to promote the local businesses of Mayfield and really does understand the importance of connecting with and supporting the local community.  Kathie provides an extensive email network with local updates on events and activities and has produced a Community Directory promoting local business and community.   The number of events that Kathie has been involved in are too many to mention. Kathie has extremely diverse skills as evidenced by her ability to conduct large events, develop excellent promotional material such as those for Mayfield Heritage walks, organisational skills to juggle the wide range of issues, and through all this she has the ability to be assertive and maintain effective relationships. During 2008 I personally had opportunity to become better acquainted with Kathie as a member of the Wallsend Town Committee. During this time, I found Kathie to be an exceptional planner, a highly motivated (and motivating) person with a business/marketing orientated and innovative philosophy. For example, Kathie never failed to meet stated deadlines and outcomes; promoted the Wallsend business community via utilising marketing (i.e. branding/advertisement) and research designs; and was always open to new ideas pertaining to the management of Wallsend Town.
